its not a chance tho, he was kept on a lead for well over a yr nd slowly eased him off it, i wouldnt attempted to bring him anywhere other than the big open golf course.

ReplyDeleteYou may want to add that...huskies are very much pack oriented. More so than most other common breeds. They do far, far better w/ at least 1 or 2 fellow canine companions. Singular huskies get far more stressed out, and unfortunately, sometimes destructive. Learned this the hard way. Therefore, get two! Four is even more fun if you have the yard/room. So 2 is better than 1 in terms of being alone. Well, unless you have a cat. Beautiful dogs, btw. Good luck.

ReplyDeletei must have gotten lucky, ive a 3 yr old husky called hurley. have a small vid of him on my channel. i live beside a big ass golf course nd never put him on a leash! if he loses sight of me he runs home nd sits at the front door. hes still a messer tho.

Kind of funny how I get around. But yeah. I've heard about not having huskies off leashes. Two... I did not know you shouldn't cut their fur.. o_O But wow... beautiful dogs none the less. ^^

ReplyDeleteMy husky likes to escape out of the backyard every 2 or 3 months. (I'm lucky it isn't more often than that) I got him fixed and the vet said it should help with his urge to roam. That was a month ago and he got out last night, again I am lucky that he got under the fence and into a neighbors yard whose gate was closed. I have heard some people say when their husky gets out they wait for the dog to come back, I could NEVER do that :(
