  4. I agree, we are training my german shepherd to do that. We train by him having to find us. He is great at it. We take parts of elk antlers to train him with. Bcuz we want him to find elk sheds.

  5. Would you say the same technique applies to finding deer antlers and such or how would you do that differently? I really want a lab for finding deer antlers and blood trailing wounded deer.

  7. Won't he tear up your house trying to find things if you do it inside?
Also CC is funny, :13 "we want to teach adults how to find things in the hunt for things"

  11. You would have plenty of fun trying this trick with our GSD Because their sight is very poor .. in fact I believe they only see shadows and no colours. I have seen our GSD charge at a closed door before now and nearly knock himself out, it seemed amusing at the time` but it is also a worry in case he hurts himself.

  12. Our springers love hunting through long grass for their toys. Thankfully there's a big field behind our house full of long grass!

  18. Interesting video, have been trying this with my German Shepherd, best I can get is a bit of a whiny noise lol, no barking, although she possesses a bark that would scare just about anyone, she will only bark at the back fence, where she will go absolutely ballistic. But she will not raise an eyebrow at people coming to the front door etc. Will keep at it though

  23. I tried doing this but I just can't lol, It makes me feel awful just hanging treats in his face and he can't get to it. I've taught him to give me his paw. Whenever I have a treat in my hand he lifts his paw before i even ask for it. lol
