Dog Training Tutorial- HOUSETRAINING
House-training is often the first thing most dogs need to learn as they become part of a new family. Since this is something I have been getting numerous requests for - I decided to do a video on it. There is some additional information on housetraining (tips) that I did not include in the video which is available on my Facebook page under the discussions section. LINKS --------- FACEBOOK: bit.ly TWITTER: bit.ly WEBSITE: www.trainingpositive.com EMAIL: tab@traningpositive.com ***NOTE*** All this information assumes that the dog in question is in good health and not suffering from any sickness/disease. Sometimes lack of bladder and bowel control is a result of ill health and if you suspect that this might be the case with your dog, please immediately consult your vet to rule out any such possibility. It is also assumed that the dog is not struggling with fear-based elimination. As is often the case with some dogs, the goal in these instances would be to tackle the issue of fear/anxiety in addition to following all the advice given in the video. Unfortunately, the details in these situations are specific and unique to the dog - so the best approach is to contact a professional dog trainer who uses positive reinforcement only, to assess and determine the most appropriate course of action.

ReplyDeleteYou insult me about my intelligence, when you yourself make an easy/stupid mistake. You sir, do not know how to take a joke and you yourself are stupid.
ReplyDeleteI just got a Lab/German Sheperd Mix puppy, we named him Avenger. He went to the bathroom in my home so many times, I'm so happy I found this :')
ReplyDeleteThis is also a good tip. when the dog needs to go outside put a bell on the door or hanging down eyelevel for them. When they need to go, take their paw and tap the bell. Continue doing this until its natural for them
ReplyDeleteYour stupid.

ReplyDeletehow do u teach a dog not to chew stuff
ReplyDeleteI don't know why but I love seeing dogs going poop or pee :3
ReplyDeleteI like to pet my dog & say "good girl" when she does something right, & let her play once we're done training. If I'm not holding her favorite toy, then she probably won't be as responsive. I want her to be more loyal to me than to the toy itself. But once we're done training, she gets what she loves, either play time with a toy or food.
ReplyDeleteIs that because when there's other dogs and trainers around giving their dogs commands, you don't want your dog to get confused?

ReplyDeletetraining your dog is easy aslong as you are willing to put the time and effort in.use short 1 word commands and focus on one trick such as sit untill your dog has it locked you will confuse it if your giving it a list of things to do while it is still learning.also it is as much about training yourself as training your dog so keep that in mind :)
ReplyDeleteComing back to watch this after so many years.. You have taught me so much, you're one of my favourite dog trainers (the other is Ian Dunbar) :D Thanks for what you do! :)
