  2. Question: How do you train a dog give you space? Our family dog is addicted to my mom. She follows mom EVERYWHERE! This dog will even refuse to go on walks if mom isn't going too. It's annoying and my mom can't take much more.

  5. What about teaching our dogs their names? Or teaching them the meaning of "No"?
Also I would have mentioned "Come" earlier, even before sit. I see so many people running around in parks screaming: "Jake, here! No, come here Jake! Bad boy, come here. JAKE! ..."

  13. When I got my dog to use a crate, he wouldn't come out -.-. I had to get him out then close the crate and he wasn't allowed ti use it all day.

  14. I didn't even finish watching the video. About the thousandth time he interrupts himself to baby his dogs I decided this wasn't the best way to spend my time. "Dog's aren't born understanding language" so he repeatedly calls himself daddy, and begs them to leave him alone. Yes - very effective!

  15. Funny how one of his top ten is..."down-stay" but he does not apply it to his own dogs when he is clearly being distracted by them, makes me wonder about him.

  16. I've trained my cat to do some tricks. True, dogs are way easier to train and to train a cat , first you must be who the cat relies upon mostly. In my case, my cat is very obedient towards me. He will come when called, sit down, lie down, talk, leave things if I tell him not to touch it and plays by rules of "grab" and "let go". It took me a while to be frank, and yes a lot of treats too, but now I reinforce him by petting and playing a game. Gotta love training animals, truly! :)

  20. I taught my cat how to sit and give paw. If you don't have treats in your hand, forget about it. Much more difficult than a dog.
