Gone to the Snow Dogs PO Box 12 Alpena, MI 49707 So many of you have either messaged me, tweeted me, or commented and ask if Huskies shed. YES THEY DO!! They shed ALOT!! They need to be brushed daily if you don't want to deal with all the hair floating around everywhere! And even if you do brush them daily, you will still have hair everywhere! One tool I have found that helps me combat the shedding is the Furminator. It's a deshedding tool. Basically what it does is helps brush out the undercoat of the dog. That white fluffy down like fur. If you have a husky, or any dog that sheds alot, I would deffinately advise getting a Furminator! Thanks for watching!! We don't let them
ReplyDeleteHopefully you can answer this question, how do you huskies not just jump over your small fence and run away?
ReplyDeleteThey don't mind. The birds love to use it for nests! When we lived at that house, we lived right on the corner so it pretty much blew into the street hehehe
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
ReplyDeletei bet your neighbors love the hair blowing to their yard. lol
ReplyDeletebut your dogs look great. truly beautiful.
I agree, a Furminator is a MUST with a husky. I love your dogs. You're so good with them! So many Sibe owners don't know what to do with their huskies. You do a great job! My Annie loves the Xmas cookie recipe. <333
ReplyDelete10 - 15 mins a day during coat blowing. or about 5 mins a day everyday. That is what we try to do.
ReplyDeleteHow long does it take to groom one dog?
ReplyDeleteBesides, huskies aren't particularly aggressive dogs, so it's not something you will probably have to worry about. Especially if they're trained properly.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 siberian huskeys that look just like this but with blue eyes and 2 all looking 2 get 1 do it they r amazing pets that have alot of needs but worth it as a amazing pet
ReplyDeleteReally? that is your comment? Have you watched the 248 other videos we currently have? Have you noticed they have never jumped the fence in any of our videos? Come on. . That is what you took out of this video? Fence is to low. In the 6 years we lived at the house and had huskies, NONE of them EVER jumped or even ATTEMPED to Jump that fence.
ReplyDeleteand it's mainly because they watched videos like these!! :( im soo mad !
ReplyDeletefence too low, thet could easily jump that
ReplyDeleteIt is not an exaggeration. Dogs, all breeds, are a lot of work! They depend on us all the time. It's big dedication to have a dog. If it was easy, there wouldn't' be so many in shelters!
ReplyDeletethats an exaggeration, depends on the dogs temperment. Mine is great.
ReplyDeleteYou cannot train a siberian like a golden retreiver per say, however, they are incredibly intelligent and very obeying dogs if you put in some time with them. Very loyal and beautiful dogs, don't go a day when i walk mine where i don't get a compliment on her. Wouldn't trade mine for the world. Oh and don't let them off the leash when not fenced in!!
ReplyDeleteYes they can!!
ReplyDeleteThey can be
ReplyDeleteMy aunt had husky x samyoed and she used to brush Elka everyday and then she would spin the hair into yarn. One dog can make alot of socks!
ReplyDelete@gone to the snow dogs
ReplyDeleteAny tips ? I only have trained my Yorkshire terrier when I had her. Are big dogs more difficult to train ?
@gone to the snowdogs.
ReplyDeleteI only have experience with training my previous dog which was a small Yorkshire terrier. A big dog must be more difficult to train ?
They are extremely stubborn!
ReplyDeleteI am, but they are ALOT of work!
